Caleb Foust

Associate Minister

Born in Louisville, KY and raised across most of the southeastern US, Caleb graduated from Samford University, with a B.A. Religion and minors in Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy and History. At Samford he met his amazingly talented Wife Mary Beth and after college they married and moved to Richmond, VA to each pursue the Master of Divinity. For the past 14 years Caleb has worked in Churches across Alabama, Mississippi, Virginia and North Carolina. Caleb is a fan of most sports, and loves to cheer on the Crimson Tide and Chicago Cubs. He and Mary Beth have 2 wonderfully confident daughters Ava and Eleanor and 2 dogs Moses and Wrigley.

Caleb is a firm believer that no 2 people should be strangers for long and loves to listen to the stories about life from everyone he meets. Caleb knows that the church can be at the heart of some of the deepest grief and hardest pain but when done authentically, can open up the doors to some of the most uniquely beautiful healing the world needs. He believes that ministry is done best when it is seeking to ask deep questions about the way the world works and the role the Church is filling.

Emerywoods Children’s Minister since 2005, Kelley has a heart for children. As a Mother of three, Kelley feels that one of the greatest of God’s gifts to us, God’s people, is the gift of a child. She believes the raising of a child is a sacred  responsibility, and Kelley subscribes to the “It takes a Village” philosophy. She is proud and grateful to be  a part of the Village that is Emerywood Baptist Church.

Kelley holds a BFA in Communications from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and has toured and worked regionally as a professional actress and singer since 1976. She has been married to husband John for over 30 years, and is the sappy Mom of Jake, Katie and Maggie. (Go ahead…ask me about my kids – it’s my favorite topic!)

“Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. .” ~Mark 10:14

Leigh Curl-Dove

Youth Minister

Leigh was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She attended Baylor University, where she earned a B.A. in Religion with a concentration in church history. Leigh has served churches in Virginia, North Carolina, and Texas. She also currently works at Church World Service Greensboro, a refugee resettlement agency, where she does community engagement.

When Leigh dreams of what the Church could and should be, she sees a place that mirrors the kingdom of God, with infinite seats at the table for all peoples. Her passion in ministry is to work with people to make this a reality, creating space and place for all people’s voices, stories, and experiences. Leigh loves women’s soccer and basketball, and much of her free time is spent following the North Carolina Courage, the U.S. Women’s National Team, and the Baylor Lady Bears.
