Music at Emerywood

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir consists of volunteers who offer their voices in song each week at the 10:00 am service. Rehearsal is on Wednesday evenings at 7:20 pm. The choir meets on Sundays at 9:30 before worship.  All are welcome, no experience necessary.

The choir sings a broad variety of music, ranging from spirituals to classical masterworks. Special music programs are presented during the year. Guest artists are included in these presentations and have included in the past “Messiah” by G.F. Handel, “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi, and “Christmas Oratorio” by Camille Saint-Saens, just to mention a few. A larger work, or Cantata is presented each season for Easter and Christmas.

Children’s Choir

The EBC Children’s ministry offers Children’s Choir in the Fall/Winter of each year. Our Treble Makers (K – 5) meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30, September – December, and also on Sundays from 11:00 – 11:30 in November-December. The Treble Makers prepare songs for worship and a Christmas Program. Our Cherub Choir (preschoolers) meet on Sundays in the months of November-December for their part in the Christmas Program. Come join us, as we make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord!

Share Your Talents

Other Opportunities exist for those already involved in the Music Ministry at Emerywood to join the sanctuary choir and others to perform vocal or instrumental solos and to become a part of ensembles. For example, the Music Ministry has special concerts such as “America Through the Ages” or “A Night on Broadway”.   However, you would like to offer your musical time and talents, we would love to have you participate.

Want to Participate?

Contact our Minister of Music, Dr. Garrett Saake, to get more information and find the perfect way to share your talents with Emerywood.
