Young Adults
Whether we’re young professionals or in graduate school, new to High Point or been here all our lives, single or married, owning or renting—we’re all seeking to live life together as a family of faith.
Some of us didn’t grow up in church and others have been in it all our lives, whether Baptist or other denominations. Emerywood’s Young Adults have a sense of humor, a sense of integrity, and a faith that is evolving and growing stronger every day.
Median Adults
As our lives change, we often face complicated challenges—parenting youth, dealing with aging parents, looking ahead to empty nests, work and career issues, and sometimes health concerns. In the context of these kinds of challenges and opportunities, we begin to live out who we truly are. At Emerywood, there are amazing opportunities to serve and lead during the middle stages of life. Whether it is through adult Sunday School, mission opportunities, Lifegroup, to name a few. These communities are places where we can support one another and grow into who God wants us to be.
Senior Adult
The Senior Adult Ministry is an active and vital asset to the life of the church. This ministry provides opportunities throughout the year for traveling, socializing, and developing strong friendships. In addition, our senior adult members are actively involved in all ministries of our church. The group meets one Tuesday of each month at noon, September through May. A program, which may be inspirational, informative, entertaining or all three, is also presented at each gathering.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit. Because apart from me you can do nothing.” — John 15:5
