Music at Emerywood

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir consists of volunteers and Sponsored Student Scholars who offer their voices in song each week at the 10:00 am service. The choir meets on Sundays at 9:30 before worship.
Rehearsals take place after Sunday Worship in the Sanctuary. All are welcome, no experience necessary.

The choir sings a wide variety of music, ranging from spirituals to classical masterworks. Special music programs are presented during the year. Guest artists have performed in these presentations and, in the past, included “Messiah” by G.F. Handel, “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi, and “Christmas Oratorio” by Camille Saint-Saens, to name a few. A larger work, or Cantata is presented each season for Easter and Christmas.

Share Your Talents

Other Opportunities exist for those already involved in the Music Ministry at Emerywood to join the sanctuary choir and others to perform vocal or instrumental solos and to become a part of ensembles.  However, you would like to offer your musical time and talents, we would love to have you participate.
