We all were new, at one time, and we remember what it’s like. So we’ve provided the information below, knowing that a new venture is easier when you know what to expect.
What time are the services? We have two services each Sunday morning, September-May: informal at 8:45am and traditional at 11:00am. Each service lasts approximately an hour. During the Summer months we have one service at 10am, that provides a combination of informal and traditional elements. We encourage you to arrive a few minutes early, especially if you have young children. That will give you plenty of time to get your children checked in at the Nursery prior to the service.
How should I dress? You’ll see people in a variety of clothing. Casual clothes are the norm at the 8:45 Awakening Worship Service. Feel free to leave the suit and tie at home! However, if you want to put on your “Sunday best,” that’s fine too. We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.
What time should I arrive? We suggest arriving about 10 minutes before the worship so you’ll have time to park, meet others, and make your way into the sanctuary.
Where should I park? There is a large parking lot located directly beside the sanctuary. Please feel free to use any of these spaces during your visits.
Where should I go when I arrive? Refreshments are offered in the Gathering Area before services, creating a time of fellowship for members and guests. You are welcome to join us in the Gathering Area, or go directly to the sanctuary. To get to the Gathering Area from the parking lot, you can enter the large glass doors along the courtyard.
Do you have childcare? We provide nursery care for children, infant through pre-school. The nursery is open on Sundays from 8:30 am – 12:00 noon, on Wednesday nights from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm, as well as during other various church activities. The nursery is located on the main floor. Please enter the building at the door located under the Breezeway, and take a left. The Children’s Area is near the end of this hallway. Please feel free to ask anyone you encounter for directions!
Will I be singled out in any way as a visitor? You will never be put on the spot or embarrassed! Our desire is to simply enjoy our time together as the church family God is building. Our members will certainly make an effort to meet you and welcome you.
Will I be asked to give money? If you are a guest, please do not feel any obligation to give. We believe giving is an act of worship wherein those who have a personal relationship with God through Christ, give regularly in response to God’s gracious gifts.
Is Communion offered? We celebrate open Communion one Sunday each month.
