Our Ministers and Staff

Timothy Peoples

TimothWBC16-39y has served Churches in Michigan, Connecticut and Texas. Most recently he was a Pastoral Resident at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas Texas before being called as Senior Pastor here in High Point.

“The beauty of this calling is people continue to allow me in their sacred spaces, whether moments of suffering or joy.  There is no other vocation that allows me to journey with another from birth to death.  It is only through ministry where you can experience the Spirit move, guide and mature a diverse body of people into a beautiful community carrying out the mission of God.

Think.Live.Serve.Faithfully.  This is not only how Emerywood defines aspects of themselves, but this is also how so many others outside of Emerywood defines this church.  These three actions carry so much within our Christian faith.  How we think about God and our theology also influence how we live our lives and even how we serve God and one another in our world.  These actions are seen through your mission statements, values and especially in how you serve alongside your mission partners in changing the world.”
